Ceremony venue
The Demokritos private Venue is also licensed for civil ceremonies and accommodates up to 55 seated guests and covers an area of 150 square meters. The functional room caters for a dining area, lounge bar, dance podium and ceremony or speeches area. Until now wedding ceremonies on the island have been limited to the Anglican Church, Catholic Ceremonies and Municipalities. Now brand new from 2006 is the opportunity and possibility to marry at your very own private venue in Paphos.
Catering for parties of 20 or above you may now book all the facilities you would require to have your very own venue as you would in the UK, specifically decorated, organized and designed with this in mind, it makes the most private venue possible in Paphos. After your very own Registrar has conducted your ceremony, there is no need to worry about heading off to a choice of venue, loosing valuable celebration time or paying out extra costs in transport, as everything can be arranged under one roof! We will only host one wedding ceremony or reception a day to ensure that your occasion is totally exclusive, giving your day the attention it deserves.
Private Wedding Reception Venues
The venue is mainly used as a private wedding reception site and is ideal for larger parties for groups of 20 or more guests. It can offer all the facilities needed to create the perfect setting for a wedding celebration, strictly amongst family and friends. Within the package provided at the venue is as much red and white wine as required during your entire stay at the venue, 4 bottles of sparkling local champagne, room decoration including chair covers, table confetti and balloons, 2 tier wedding cake, and snacks and sandwiches provided early evening following the main meal. There is a choice of menus available from buffet style or Al A Carte sit down meal and at the convenience of your wedding party, there is a private bar within the venue.

Hot buffet: Beef stroganoff, chicken a la king, medallions of pork alorange, paupiette of sole fillet with crab meat and prawns Rice, mixed vegetables, tortellini in tomato sauce, roast potatoes.

Salads: Lettuce, cucumber, tomato, potato salad, mushroom salad, artichoke salad, tambouleh, dry beans salad, potato and egg salad, beetroot, sliced onions with dry coriander, Cyprus salad, green and black olives
Dips: Taramosalata, tahini, houmous, tzitziki
Hot buffet: Hot buffet Lamb kleftiko, pork afelia, chicken soliatiko, kalamari, Cyprus zatatouille, bulghar pilaff, Cyprus raviouli with cheese, and oven potatoes.

Entertainment for private wedding venue
There is entertainment provided at the private wedding venue/reception in the form of a CD Music system along with a selection of music. An early evening show by traditional Cypriot dancers is also included which is sure to add further atmosphere to the evening. There is the opportunity of hiring a professional DJ to keep your wedding party dancing well into the night. Booking this additional service well in advance is essential.
Please keep in mind that should you wish to hire the private venue we would require a deposit to make further arrangements and secure the booking on your behalf. We recommend booking well in advance, although we may be able to accommodate at short notice depending on availability.

In the case of a cancellation three months or more prior to the event, no cancellation fee will be made. A cancellation received within three months of the date booked for the venue will be liable to cancellation fees.
