Ayia Kyriaki Church - Wedding Ceremony

The Ayia Kyriaki church is situated in the centre of lower Paphos near to the harbour and approximately a 10-15 minute from most hotels in Paphos. This picturesque church is set amongst the ancient ruins of St Paul’s Pillar, dating back to the 14th century making it one of the most famous archaeological sites in Cyprus. The grounds are steeped in history and the church itself is made of old stone walls. There is inside an impressive and colorful display of icons, in all giving it more than its fair share of character.

Couples may choose this church for a Catholic or Anglican ceremony both of which would last approximately 25-30 minutes. The ceremony would be performed in English exactly as it would be if the marriage were to take place in the UK. Once the couple have arrived in Cyprus a pre arranged meeting before the wedding day would be organized with church officials to finalize all details. This would include choosing from a choice of hymns and discussing all contents of the ceremony from beginning to end offering precious piece of mind to the Bride & Groom to be.

Note: For Catholic weddings it is a requirement of the church that the couple attend an informal civil ceremony before the Catholic ceremony in order to make the marriage legal.

Due to the popularity of this fabulous venue booking well in advance is essential.
